Brahmin on TV

You know what we love to do on a winter evening? Nothing. And by “nothing,” we mean cozying up in front of the television and watching one of our favorite dramas unfold. And because the hibernation gods are particularly kind this time of year, we now have a legitimate, practically professional reason to tune in.

Brahmin is starring in not one, not two, but three of the biggest and buzziest shows of the season. Guys, we’re famous (and props to all you handbag aficionados who spotted us on screen!).

For those of you who missed Brahmin’s repeat cameos because you were busy, doing stuff (to each their own), allow us to recap them for you:

HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER

When actress Viola Davis isn’t busy polishing her Oscar, you’ll find her carrying her Brahmin in the hit ABC series, How To Get Away With Murder. Davis plays Annalise Keating, a brilliant law professor and criminal defense attorney who carries a Joan Tote in Black Melbourne in every episode (but who’s counting?)

DYNASTY

Ah, Dynasty. The CW’s modern reboot of the 1980s soap has all the intrigue, camp, and conspicuous bling you’d expect from a show that’s all about intrigue, camp, and conspicuous bling. But this time around, we’re not interested in vendettas. We just can’t wait to see which Brahmin handbags will be sharing the spotlight. So far, we’ve spotted Brinley in Sandshell Pachanga, the Anywhere Convertible, and the Business Tote in Pecan Melbourne.

EMPIRE

If you haven’t seen or heard of Empire on Fox, then we really admire all the work you do on that wildlife preserve in Antarctica. Seriously, there’s a reason why this epic, star-studded drama (hello Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard!) is entering its fourth run: it’s ridiculously good. This season, Diana Dubois (Phylicia Rashad) carries the Ruby in Toasted Macaroon Melbourne. And our life is complete.

You may have recognized a recurring theme here: all of the styles featured in these shows are sharp, professional-looking pieces carried by major power players. So when someone comments on your binge watching habits this weekend, simply say you’re researching stylish new looks for the office. Works for us!

Summer's Most Buzzed About Styles

It seems everywhere we look lately, we are seeing Brahmin bags. Our styles have popped up on E News and in Elle recently, and we could not agree more with the selections.

E Online couldn’t help but notice that Gigi Hadid has been spotted carrying the same bag on repeat. Although her exact style retails for $11,500, they pointed out the uncanny resemblance in silhouette to our Danielle Satchel (a bargain in comparison at $265). This structured shape is not going anywhere, so channel Gigi and add a Danielle to your closet.

Elle.com understands the challenge to finding the perfect black crossbody (and knows how essential it is to your wardrobe). Our Haley Crossbody to the rescue. Get yours now and thank us later.

What do you think this summer’s must-have style is?

October Issues

No sooner than we finished flipping through our hefty September fashion magazines did our October issues arrive in our mailboxes. Brahmin made headlines again in this coming month’s magazines, and we are thrilled to share these editor picks with you.

Our Sonny has been the it silhouette of fall, and Harper’s Bazaar selected this style in Black Charleston as a fall must. In the softest leather in classic black, we agree that this will be a closet staple for years to come.

InStyle declared texture a fall wardrobe essential, and our Carina in Stone Carlisle has texture in spades.

Glamour gets wild this month and is feeling all things snakeskin, especially our Lily Clutch in Brown Tyndale.

We highly recommend spending the first weekend of fall cozied up with a cup of coffee and a magazine or two…

The September Issue

If you have a pile of magazine subscriptions that arrive in your mailbox each month like we do, we are sure you share our excitement for September. The biggest season in fashion and the ultimate month for magazines, September brings a season of fresh starts and shopping possibilities. The temperatures may still say it is summer, but as we flip through thousands of pages of fall fashion, we cannot help but be excited for the season ahead.

As you divulge into your issues, you may notice a Brahmin or two gracing the glossy pages of Harper’s Bazaar and StyleWatch. Here are a few of our favorite styles of the season as showcased on the spreads:

The Lily Clutch can be found in a feature appropriately named “Croc ‘n’ Roll” in Harper’s Bazaar. This style takes croc one step further with finishing touches like whipstitching and suede accents.

StyleWatch hits on top-handle bags as a must-have of the season, and our Brinley is the perfect answer to this trend. With ladylike lines and in fall’s quintessential forest green hue, this satchel will be your go-to style all season long.

Since it is technically still August, you may have seen the Debra in the August issue of Harper’s Bazaar. This red-hot style is perfect to carry now and to add a pop of color to your wardrobe as temperatures drop.

What are your favorite magazines for style inspiration? Are you as excited for fall as we are?

Who What Wear

Brahmin has been making a splash on Who What Wear lately, both as seen on fashion bloggers at an event in LA and as recommended by editors as must styles.

Two bloggers were spotted carrying their Brahmin handbags from our new Southcoast collection at Street Style Cinema, Who What Wear’s summer outdoor movie series for L.A. fashion fans and cinephiles at The Grove. We love Grasie and Amelia’s off-duty looks at the event…don’t you? Get some summer style inspiration and see all of the looks from the summer series here.

Our second appearance was in an article entitled 14 Secrets That Will Make Your Outfit Look Better Than Anyone Else…are you intrigued? Teaser alert: mixing neutrals is one secret and we agree – a beautiful neutral bag will always make an outfit look instantly better, and our Sonny is just the bag for the job.

Finally, you may recognize a certain bag in the article How I Landed My Dream In Fashion- And You Can Too...perfectly appropriate for 9-5 and to carry you through the weekend, the Sonny really is the bag that takes you anywhere and everywhere.

Wishing everyone a fashionable week!

Sonny Side Up

One of our favorite new styles for the sunny days of spring and summer is aptly named the Sonny. Saddle bags are trending in a major way, and Sonny is the utmost saddle. The editors of Harper’s Bazaar agree, and our Sonny was featured in the June issue.

Shop the Sonny in a variety of colors…which is your favorite?

Saddle up!
