Blue in Bloom

If you follow trend reports and style blogs (clearly, you do), then you’ve probably heard that floral prints are having a moment (clearly, they are). This season, designers scattered flowery motifs all over the runways—not your timid violets and dewy tea roses—but riotous bouquets blooming against dark backgrounds.

Well, we here at Brahmin love a trend. And we love a floral print. So you can imagine just how excited we were to grow our own version of this look (pun very much intended).

Inspiration for the idea first sprouted (sorry, we had to) when one of our designers at our Massachusetts headquarters opened her notebook and shared a sketch that our team uniformly fell in love with: a wintery palette of pale blue flowers. The custom image was hand-painted in-house, and then printed on croc embossed leather in a shade of midnight blue to add texture and dimension. The result is Navy Madeleines, a perfect hybrid of romance and edge. Pair it with jeans or your most daring heels—it’s as versatile as it is fresh.

This print feels denim-friendly and season right. It’s a transitional, year-round floral.
