Brahmin Breaks Down the Met Gala

Lucky for us, this week started off exceptionally strong. The fifth of May (aka Cinco de Mayo) always has a celebratory vibe in the air, with future thoughts of margaritas and Mariachi music. This year however Cinco de Mayo had some serious competition, arguably the biggest and most glamorous fashion event of the year: The Met Gala.

Hosted annually by the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Vogue Magazine, the Met Gala brings together the best of the best from the fashion, art and entertainment worlds, an impressive group of renowned individuals who have mastered their own craft, and come together once a year to celebrate the craft of another. This year's gala commemorated Charles James, "America's best-known couturier." Although the name may be unfamiliar, James' highly structured ball gowns and unique architectural designs paved the way for some of today's most notable designers.

We couldn't help but notice the fashion on the Red Carpet was extremely familiar. Black floral prints, pops of pink, black and white stripes, sunny hues and grey color block were all reminiscent of trends we've recently seen. Enter Brahmin's Summer Collection. Black Rousseau, Pink Lychee Melbourne, our Black Signature Stripes, Orange Sorbet Melbourne and Grey Canton color block are all new styles that were translated to the Met Gala Red Carpet. Don't believe us? See for yourself below!

What was your favorite "Brahmin inspired" Met Gala fashion?

Happy hump day!
